Last night at
HWA Unbreakable, Jake Crist became the new HWA Heavyweight Champion after
a true classic against former two-time HWA Heavyweight Champion, Jon
Moxley.
Moxley seemed to
be in the driver's seat and on his way to a third reign as HWA Heavyweight
Champion, methodically focusing his attack on the ribs of Jake
Crist.
Jake has been
called pound for pound the toughest man in the HWA and he lived up to that
reputation as he fought through the pain and picked up a second wind and
hit the move that would ultimately prove to be Moxley's undoing... a
brainbuster on the arena floor.
That vicious
move would change the entire complexion of the match, but Moxley would
prove his own level of toughness as he continued the fight after a move
that would have put a normal man in the hospital.
It was a second
brainbuster, this time inside the ring, and a frog splash from the top
rope that would eventually earn Jake Crist the HWA Heavyweight
Championship.
Amazingly both
men walked away from the match, but neither man will be the same.
