HWA fans know Ryan Campbell as a wrestler and a commentator but now
you can add something else to his already impressive resume: Co-Host
of the recently launched HWA Radio. Ryan recently took some time out
of his incredibly busy schedule to answer a few questions. -
Andrew Grevas, HWA Online Chief Correspondent
Q: HWA
fans know you as a wrestler, commentator and now one of the hosts of
"HWA Radio". Which of these roles do you feel most comfortable in?
A: To
be honest all these roles make me feel very comfortable. With my
background in production, the
commentary and radio is effortless. While my partner Chris "The
Brain" is helping me hone those skills, I am
very comfortable in that role. Wrestling while short lived was very
comfortable to me. It was everything I thought
it would be and I was truly living a dream.
Q: "HWA
Radio" just recently launched. Tell fans who haven't checked it out
yet what they're missing.
A: Fans
who haven't checked out HWA Radio yet are missing out on the single best
way to have their voice heard and give their feedback to the HWA.
The Brain and I truly love our listeners and want to share their
thoughts and views on the HWA. Not to mention we have big plans for
the show involving guests, and contests, so it is definitely a must
hear show.
Q: Your
wrestling career was stalled due to injury. How are you feeling
physically these days?
A: Physically
I feel great. Doctors have told
me I will always have some stiffness and locking up in my shoulder
- the
injuries I received were similar to those of someone who is thrown
from a car wreck, so
I'll always be dealing with the effects but despite all
that I feel
extremely well.
Q: Will
fans ever get to see you in the ring again?
A: I
absolutely love what I do. I am in the role to take some of the best
wrestling out there today and really make it hit home to anyone who
is watching the HWA. The ability to make special moments that much
more special is a great feeling. However there will always be that
itch and to say that I feel I have unfinished business would be an
understatement. Every time I watch a match there is always that
thought about getting back in the ring. So in the traditional
wrestling sense, "Never say never."
Q: What
goals do you have in the wrestling business?
A: No
matter what it be my goal in this business is to do it at the
highest level. Whether
its broadcasting,
wrestling or behind the scenes my love for this business goes beyond
just a hobby and to do it at the highest level would be the ultimate
goal. As a Christian I believe God has led me down many roads in
this business and I believe each road has prepared me for something
else down the line and I'm just along for the ride.
Q: Thank
you Ryan for taking the time to answer these questions. Anything
you'd like to add or tell the fans?
A: I
just want them to know that everyone here in the HWA values them
more than they know and the reason we do this is to make them happy
and give them a good time. There is a lot going on here in the HWA
and we invite all of them to be a part of it because we do it for
them. |
