#1 - HWA
HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
GEROME PHILLIPS
(Previous Ranking #1) |
Gerome Phillips
displayed his dominance not only in his match with young Dez
Coltraine, but also in the #1 Contender's Battle Royal, when the HWA
Heavyweight Champion's interference forced Senior Official Joe
Kopasz to rule the match a no-contest. Who will challenge Phillips
at HWA Road To Destiny? Rumor has it a challenger has been named and
will be announced this Wednesday at The Sorg. |
#2 - THE IRISH
AIRBORNE
(Previous Ranking #2) |
The Irish
Airborne's undefeated streak since being reinstated in the HWA
earlier this month will be in serious jeopardy this Wednesday when
The Brothers Crist tangle with HWA Heavyweight Champion Gerome
Phillips and the newest member of The Code, Eric Trice. The Irish
Airborne will be at a size disadvantage, but their is no substitute
for their experience and tag team continuity. |
#3 - HWA
AMERICAN LUCHACORE
CHAMPION RON MATHIS
(Previous Ranking #5) |
Ron Mathis was up
to his old tricks again this past week when he defeated "The
Madness" Chris Hall with an assist from Gilbert and a can of Axe
Body Spray. Mathis will no doubt bring his bag of tricks with him
again this coming Wednesday at The Sorg when he defends his title
against a man who has pinned the American Luchacore Champion on
several occasions both in tag team and non-title matches, Sid
Fabulous! |
#4 - SID FABULOUS
(Previous
Ranking #4) |
He is the #1
Contender to the HWA American Luchacore Title and with his track
record against Ron Mathis many believe Sid Fabulous is the uncrowned
HWA American Luchacore Champion, Sid will have a chance to prove his
supporters right this Wednesday Night in Middletown when he gets a
well deserved shot at the gold! |
#5
- JON MOXLEY
(Previous Ranking #3) |
Jon Moxley is on
a downward slide after he lost his HWA Heavyweight Title two weeks
ago to Gerome Phillips. Moxley is going to need to get his momentum
back as he heads into the biggest match of his HWA career when he
goes one on one with Bryan Danielson next month in Norwood at HWA
Road To Destiny! |
#6 - DYLAN BOSTIC
(Previously Unranked) |
Dylan Bostic
surprised everyone, especially his opponent last week Kyle Haven,
when he bent the rules in order to pick up the victory. Certainly
not the Dylan Bostic we have seen in the past.
#7 - "SOUTHERN ANGEL"
KYLE HAVEN
(Previously Unranked) |
Fool me once
shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. That's the attitude Kyle
Haven is going to need to have as he heads into his rematch with
Dylan Bostic this coming week at The Sorg.
#8 - "THE MADNESS"
CHRIS HALL
(Previous Ranking #7) |
Chris Hall became
the latest victim of Ron Mathis' skullduggery, but "The Madness" has
proven he is a resilient competitor and Hall could get right back on
that horse this Wednesday if he can come out on top of the Six Pack
Challenge with the winner going on to Norwood on August 20th to
challenge for the HWA American Luchacore Championship. |
#9 - JESSE EMERSON
(Previous Ranking #6) |
Jesse Emerson
slips to the #9 spot after a week of inactivity but he will be in
the thick of things this coming Wednesday when he is one of the six
competitors in the Six Pack Challenge! Emerson is no stranger to the
HWA American Luchacore Championship and he can get another shot at
the title he so proudly held if he can outlast five other
competitors. Easier said than done. |
#10 - DUSTIN RAYZ
(Previous Ranking #9) |
Rayz is set to
make his return to HWA action this coming Wednesday after a brief
layoff and Rayz will have a chance to make up for lost time as he
will be another of the combatants in the Six Pack Challenge.
